Aquarium Maintenance Technician:

Responsibilities Include:

  • Care and maintenance of residential and commercial client aquariums.
  • Installation of standard and custom aquariums.
  • Aquarium trouble-shooting and fish disease treatment.
  • Care and maintenance of company fish-holding systems.
  • Shared-responsibility for maintenance of company equipment and tools.
  • Rotational evening emergency service duty.
Job Requirements Include:
  • In order to be bonded and covered by our liability and automobile insurance policies, you must be 21 years or older.
  • You must be bondable. In order to meet this requirement, you must never have been convicted of a crime (not including minor misdemeanors or traffic offenses).
  • You must have your own car, a valid driver's license, automobile liability insurance and a clean driving record (You will not  be required to use your own car for work, but because of our location, you may not rely on public transportation to get to work.).
  • You must have a High school education or equivalent.
  • You must have at least two years of professional experience in an aquarium or pet business which specializes in selling and/or maintaining both freshwater and marine aquaria. We will also consider individuals for employment who have at least five years of hobby experience with both freshwater and marine aquariums.
  • You must have a good work-attendance history.
  • You must have good communications skills and enjoy working with people.
  • You must be able to lift and carry up to fifty pounds of weight consistently, and/or up stairs without any resulting health problems. Although the aquarium maintenance equipment used by our technicians is on wheels, occasionally it must be carried up one or more flights of stairs or lifted over curbs.
  • You must be available for full-time employment of forty to forty-five hours a week. We do offer flexible full-time scheduling, with hours available in the evening and on weekends.
  • We're sorry, but due to the nature of our business, we do not hire for part-time positions.

Manager or Field Supervisor:

Responsibilities Include:

  • Supervision of technicians in the field.
  • Employee training.
  • Shared daytime aquarium emergency service.
  • Employee and client scheduling.
  • Service route development.
  • Quality control checks.
  • Supervision of installation crews.
  • Inventory control and loss-prevention.
  • Scheduling of vehicle maintenance.
Job Requirements Include:
  • In order to be bonded and covered by our liability and automobile insurance policies, you must be 21 years or older.
  • You must be bondable. In order to meet this requirement, you must never have been convicted of a crime (not including minor misdemeanors or traffic offenses).
  • You must have your own car, a valid driver's license, automobile liability insurance and a clean driving record (You will not  be required to use your own car for work, but because of our location, you may not rely on public transportation to get to work.).
  • You must have at least five years of experience as a manager or supervisor of an aquarium or pet business which specializes in selling and/or maintaining both freshwater and marine aquaria. Aquarium hobby experience alone will not qualify you for this position.
  • This job requires that you have a good grasp of prioritizing and good organizational skills.
  • You must have a High school education or equivalent. College degrees are a plus but unnecessary if you have the right supervisory and organizational skills.
  • You must have great communications skills and enjoy working with people.
  • You must have good basic computer and typing skills, including but not limited to: a knowledge of Windows 95/98 and some experience with Microsoft Office or other major word-processing, database and spreadsheet programs.
  • You must be able to lift and carry thirty to forty pounds of weight consistently, and/or up stairs without any resulting health problems.   • Maintenance of company facilities, equipment and tools..
  • Assistance with installations and aquarium moving jobs.
  • Training for aquarium maintenance technician.
